R.I.P MICHAEL JACKSON

Sad news! Michael Jackson has been rushed to the hospital after paramedics responded to a call to his home. According to the LA Times, & E Online he suffered a heart attack and was not breathing when they arrived. Other news reports say that he went in cardiac arrest.

The 50-year-old King of Pop collapsed at his home around noon today. Staffers immediately rushed to his aid, but he was unresponsive.
“The call came in because a person was not breathing,” says a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, who declined to ID the singer by name.”When the team arrived, they saw that CPR was already in progress by someone at the home. The person not breathing was transported to UCLA Medical Center and remains there.”
“He had a heart attack,” father Joe Jackson tells E! News. “He is not OK. “His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him.”

Updated: TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson has died however CNN (a reputable news source has not reported this)

Debra Opri, a former Jackson family attorney, confirmed that the legendary singer, 50, was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon, where he later died at 3:15 p.m. EDT after falling into a deep coma.

THANDISWA MAZWAI IN CONTROVERSY ???

South Africa AFRO-POP singer Thandiswa Mazwai sparked controversy on Youth Day when she told friends on the social networking site Facebook that she “hates the national anthem”.The singer refused to sing the Afrikaans anthem Die Stem during Tuesday’s Big Read campaign launch in Newtown, Johannesburg, which was also attended by actress Rosie Motene, writer Mandla Langa, education policy analyst Salim Vally and children from Soweto and Alexandra. Soon after the event, Mazwai wrote on Facebook that she was “put on the spot” by a friend who asked her to sing the Afrikaans part of the national anthem at the event.

Mazwai wrote : “I hate this f***ing national anthem. How can it be that the anthem and prayer for Africa is now so blatantly joined with the anthem which systematically raped this land and its people of all its value and pride? How do we join these two songs and then sing them with such fake pride in this supposed new South Africa? I can’t.”

HOLYFIELD FACING FORECLOSURE .....

Former boxer Evander Holyfield is facing foreclosure…again. The lien holder is demanding full repayment of the original $10 million loan, with an auction scheduled for July 7 on the Fayette County Courthouse steps. Evander’s second property in Fayette is also under foreclosure as he’s far behind on that $216k loan. According to the AJC:
Holyfield has grossed more than $248 million in the ring, but two divorces, several failed business ventures and chil support payments
believed to total $500,000 annually have taken a toll on his financial well-being.
The father of 11 last boxed in December, losing to WBA champion Nikolai Valuev in Switzerland. His last significant payday came in 2003, when he received $5 million to fight James Toney.
Asked about his finances last June, Holyfield said, “I’m not broke. I’m just not liquid.”
