Pirelli World Challenge: Focus on Audi driver Jeff Courtney
By Tarek Ramchani
JCR Motorsports is one of two Audi Sport customer racing teams competing in the Pirelli World Challenge this season. Team owner and driver, Jeff Courtney, is entering an Audi R8 GRAND-AM car (unlike GMG Racing with the Audi R8 LMS) with slight modifications to meet the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) rules. The #99 machine is improving race by race in a very demanding GT class. Some good performances for his debut with Audi, although he missed the Detroit round last time out. Jeff Courtney is currently thirteenth in the overall driver's standing with 243 points.
Jeff Courtney recently spoke to lacar.com and answered questions from series specialist Ashley van Dyk. Jeff Courtney talked about his racing career , this year's competition in Pirelli World Challenge and more.

Deborah Milano Lipstick Review
Deborah Milano is a new brand to me. I first came across them on Twitter when they were asking for bloggers to review their lipsticks, and being the massive lipstick addict that I am I jumped at the chance.
My lipstick arrived very speedily along with a few extra samples of their foundation range, which was very kind of them. I received the Shine Creator Lipstick* in shade 8 which on their website and in person is a bright raspberry pink when in the tube. However the colour hasn’t come out well in the pictures above and it doesn’t come out so bright on my lips. Deborah Milano say that this lipstick is a light-weight, luminous lipstick that combines the shine of lip gloss with the comfort of lipstick and the moisturizing properties of lip balm.
I first tried to swatch my lipstick but it didn't come out very well on my hand because of the moisturizing pigments in it. However when applying it to my lips I was impressed It glides on with ease and is rather glossy. It took a couple of coats to get the colour on the pictures above so its not the most pigmented lipstick I've tried, however it is pretty good. I definitely agree that it is a 3 in 1 lipstick as it is glossy, adds colour to your lips and is moisturizing.
Deborah Milano is the number one selling lipstick in Italy and Italians always look gorgeous so they must be doing something right. I like to wear this shade at the office or during the day because its not so bright and more of a natural look than some of my other more matte and bold colours. Overall I was impressed and would recommend them for day to day wear if you want something that is glossy and natural looking.
Have you ever tried the Deborah Milano range of lipsticks before? Is it a brand that you recommend?

Rolex Series: Good qualifying for Audi at Watkins Glen
By Tarek Ramchani
Watkins Glen is hosting the seventh round of the Grand-American Rolex Sportscar Racing Series this weekend. The famous Six Hours of The Glen, the second most prestigious event on the calendar after the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The 6 Hours of Watkins Glen race is also part of the North American Endurance Championship. The Audi R8 GRAND-AM is back in the series with two cars. After the win at the season opener at Daytona, Audi drivers are leading this special North American Endurance Championship. Filipe Albuquerque, Edoardo Mortara, Dion von Moltke and Oliver Jarvis with 14 points are in first position. Audi is aiming high at the Glen and wants to keep their leadership.
Oliver Jarvis is busy in the Blancpain Endurance Series with Phoenix Racing this weekend. Thus only three of the four Daytona winning drivers are at Watkins Glen. Flipe Albuquerque, Edoardo Mortara and Dion Von Moltke are sharing the #24 Audi R8 GRAND-AM. The car is a full factory effort under the Audi Sport customer racing banner. The car is entered and supervised by quattro GmbH. The car qualified well today, in a very strong fourth place within the demanding GT class.
The second Audi is a privateer effort from Fall-Line Motorsports. Their #46 Audi R8 GRAND-AM qualified 12th within the GT class. Not bad for their debut in the Rolex Series with Audi. The car is in the hands of Al Carter, Cahrles Espenlaub and Charles Putman.
Pole position went to the #57 Camaro GT.R from Stevenson Motorsports. Second was the #31 Corvette from Marsh Racing and third the #61 Ferrari 458 from R.Ferri/AIM Motorsport Racing with Ferrari.
The 6 hour race is set for tomorrow. Both Speed TV in America and Motors TV in Europe will provide live TV coverage for the event. We wish the best of luck to both Audi teams and their drivers.

Gucci earplugs, I believe….
One More Time -- A Woman Lies About Rape
Did you catch that? "Offenses like this are not uncommon." This comes from the judge himself, and he ought to know."Judge Michael Taylor told Costello: "It is a tragedy for you to be standing before me in court today . . . I regret to say a prison sentence is inevitable. . . Regrettably, offences like this are not uncommon and a clear message has got to be sent out by the courts that those who make such allegations leading to the arrest and detention of perfectly innocent people must be marked out by way of being punished."
No, I am not saying that ALL women lie about rape. But as the judge informs us, such things are not uncommon. No, it is not a fluke when this happens; it is a rather routine occurrence. So it is high time that we, as a society, begin to take false accusation of rape SERIOUSLY. Don't you think so? It is a terrible thing when innocent people are railroaded in the criminal justice system and get their lives destroyed. At any rate that is what I, as a non-feminist, believe.

“Hi there, my names Jennifer and I run a little blog called Infinitely Charming. Infinitely Charming started as a name for my clay charms that I started making at the end of last year. However I thought it would be a cool name for my lifestyle blog, which I could promote those charms through. My blog contains posts on life, beauty, fitness and a few of my hobbies thrown in.
I wanted to work on my blogging skills because I work in marketing. After graduating last year it was tough getting a leg-up into a marketing job, realising lately how big blogging is to companies I wanted to do it for myself and what I've found is I really enjoy it! I'm a big geek at heart so this will come across in some of my posts. I'm obsessed with nail polish and nail art. I love getting feedback so if you stop by let me know, or catch me on twitter @jambellz :)”

Right on the Money!
Men and women are saying they've had enough of the government's relentless assaults on men (and boys). They're contributing financially to the only British political party - Justice for men & boys (and the women who love them) - which campaigns against those assaults.
J4MB recently launched a 60-day fundraising campaign to raise £1,000 for a third candidate for the 2015 general election. We've hit the target in just 22 days:

We're on track to fund 30 candidates at the 2015 general election, at which we plan to contest the top 30 Conservative marginal seats. Three months ago we sent a letter to David Cameron, outlining our plans:

Please let me know if you'd like any information on our campaign, and why we're fighting the government's assaults on men and boys. Thank you.

BES: The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT to France to consolidate positions in the Blancpain Series
Belgian Audi Club Press Release
It may be the start of the summer holiday season, but the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT is heading to Southern France for some serious business. The Circuit Paul Ricard near Le Castellet hosts this weekend the third round of the Blancpain Endurance Series, where the Belgian squad will seek to consolidate and possibly improve the excellent positions it holds at the moment. The outfit is second in the Teams’ standings, just five points from the top, while in the Drivers’ rankings, Edward Sandström-Frank Stippler-Christopher Mies lie second and Stéphane Ortelli-Laurens Vanthoor-René Rast fourth, with Matt Halliday-Rahel Frey-Nicky Mayr-Melnhof at the door of the top ten. Although the Paul Ricard is certainly not the most favourable circuit for the Audi R8 LMS ultra, the WRT boys hope to repeat last year’s performance, when they clinched victory and started the successful chase to the titles.
The French event comes just one week after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, “the race” in the world of endurance, which saw the 12th victory in 14 years of the Audi sportscars. The GT community is still under shock after the accident that took the life of Allan Simonsen, a tragedy that has been deeply felt among Team WRT members. “Allan drove for us at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring last year and we got to know him at that occasion. He was an excellent and very professional driver and a very nice person”, says Team Principal Vincent Vosse, “We were all terribly saddened by the news and all our thoughts are with Allan’s family and dear ones. Unfortunately, accidents can happen and this reminds us that motorsports remains an activity where the zero risk is impossible to achieve, despite all efforts and advances.”
Logically, competition will be everybody’s focus as cars will start hit the track at the Ricard. “We know that the Ricard is not the track that suits us the best and that the current balance of performance may see some of our rivals ahead of us”, continues Vosse, “but this did not prevent winning last year, although thanks to clever strategy during safety car periods. We will need to be patient and clever once again. The objective is to go for heavy points and consolidate the good position in the championship. We know we have a good car, good drivers and a good team and we’ll take it from there”.
Among all WRT drivers, Stéphane Ortelli is the one who can claim this one as his ‘home’ race and the one who knows the track best. “I have been racing here since ever”, confirms the Monegasque, “and I think that although we won’t be the fastest in the long straight, we will be ok in the long and fast corners that are critical. The R8 has very good aerodynamic qualities and these have been further improved with this year’s update package.”
His team mate Laurens Vanthoor admits that “this is not my favourite track but it’s a circuit that forgives the little mistakes you can make. I think we should be competitive and we will also have to see the impact of weather conditions, as this will be the first time this year that we can expect real hot weather.” The young Belgian spent last weekend racing at his home track of Zolder, as the local guest star in the Superstars, the Italian DTM-like series, where he drove a RS5 of Audi Italia. “It was fun and something different”, he admits, “I enjoyed the experience”. Laurens took 2nd in both races, leaving the victory in the second race to his team mate Gianni Morbidelli, who bids for the title.
At the moment, car #13 is the best-placed in the championship and there is no doubt that Edward Sandström, who shares the wheel with Frank Stippler and Christopher Mies, is thrilled by the situation. “It’s fun to be up there in the standings”, says the Swede, “We need to keep things going on. So, we will avoid doing silly things and try to bring home heavy points, although we will not avoid racing for a win if that is within reach. We were strong in Silverstone and I think we can be in a similar position at the Ricard. Of course, it is too early to think about the championship. With the Spa race giving so many points, an assessment of the situation makes sense only after the 24 Hours.”
The weekend will follow the usual format, with free practice and pre-qualifying on Saturday, qualifying on Sunday morning and the 3-hour race starting at 3 pm on Sunday afternoon. Besides Team WRT, other Belgian Audi Club members will be on the grid, with Enzo Ide-Anthony Kumpen continuing their excellent campaign with the Phoenix Racing R8 and Ronnie Lantinne again at the wheel of one of the Saintéloc team.

Video: The legend's last race was victorious - Audi R8
By Johan Laubscher
The Audi R8 LMP will forever be a legend. After six years of competition the old girl was still competitive, and running at the front in international sports car racing. The car won a staggering 63 races from 80 starts, making it one of the all time great race cars.
Its eightieth, and final race, was at Lime Rock during the 2006 ALMS season. It was the last official race for the R8 in an international sports car series before the permanent introduction of the Audi R10 TDI. At the final race the R8 competed in a very special livery that had a list of all the drivers that had won in a R8, all the tracks at which it had won and all the championships and Le Mans titles. The race was extremely exciting as Allan McNish and Dindo Capello battled with much faster and newer machinery from the opposition. Despite the opposition’s speed, the Audi R8 soldiered its way to the front and closed of its racing career in the only way this car knew how, by winning.

Feminist Extremists Talk About Poisoning Men and Getting Militant
Well all right, I have heard some vile, horrid statements about women from a miniscule number of militant male nationalists (MILMATs) behind the scenes. I have chatted with those guys, and tried to bring them down to earth. I have tried to impress upon them that their anger was nothing but weakness, that their road was a dead end, that they were politically inefficient, and that they would LOSE. They bristled and bared their fangs, and snarled that I was a "mangina" and a feminist lackey, or worse, that I was an actual feminist myself!
Oh these extremists! I give up on them! I wash my hands of them!
But you know, even THOSE those guys are not nearly so depraved as the radical feminists, and not nearly so numerous!
Now, I am active in all manner of projects, conferences, committees, pow-wows, inner circles, and so on. And most of the time, we don't even talk about women at all. Amazing, isn't it? Mostly, we talk about politics, the philosophical direction of the movement, divisions within the community, and so on. Other times, we brainstorm and plan things. And just the other day, I got into a cool discussion about Higgs Boson theory with somebody who understoood the subject way better than I do. So in case anybody wonders what we male human rights dudes are really like when the public isn't watching.....well, now you have a clue! ;)
That's right, I hate to bore anybody but. . . .all in all, us non-feminists are just folks! Just like your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members. . .
All right, back to the feminists. The screen cap below is interesting for its glimpse of early 1970s feminism -- specifically the tactic of avoiding militancy in favor of spreading the "meme". We can see how mainstream, less-radical feminism is serving precisely that function nowadays. People like Amanda Marcotte are pretty awful all right, but they aren't quite like these people we see here, which is why they can get away with it. So yes, it is very true that "not all feminists are like that.." That is, they are not all equally bad.
(Click on the graphic to enlarge it.):
However, what ALL feminists hold in common, is the idea that "men are the problem".One way or another, their policy is to find some phony crap to get mad about, and then blame it on "men". Or maybe it's something real . . . but whatever. . . they blame it on "men". Either that or they blame it on "patriarchy", which is simply a roundabout, euphemistic way of blaming it on "men".
Go to the website to read the entire article and comment thread. (We have screen-capped the whole thing, so if they decide to take it down, it's too late!):
http://twanzphobic.wordpress.com/2011/04/12/militancy-is-our-only-option/
I need to thank Dan "Dannyboy" Perrins of Ontario for bringing this thing to my attention. And just to intrigue you, we know of even more scandalous doings. . but for the present I will say nothing further.
Enjoy the rest of your non-feminist day.

Fitness Friday| Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch Review
*2 images from Gymbags and Gladrags, edited by me
Being a massive fitness blogger follower on all social media I regularly come across pictures of the Polar Heart Rate Monitor Watches. In the fitness blog world they are the equivalent of the Naked Palettes in the beauty blogger world or disco pants in the Fashion Blogger world, a must have!
So a few months ago I treated myself with some birthday money and ordered the Polar FT4. I got mine for about £60 which isn't bad as I think the RRP is about £100. Upon receiving it, I gave it a first go at Kendal Bootcamp Class. The whole process is pretty easy to understand; put the band on round your chest, just underneath your bra strap area, ensuring that the electrodes on the front of it are touching your skin. Then put the watch on, set it up my adding your info such as sex, age, height, weight and when you start your exercise press start twice and off you go.
The first time I put the strap on it was very noticeable, not uncomfortable as its very elasticated, but noticeable, however I persevered and now never feel it when working out. Although I bought the watch to monitor my heart rate and see if I am actually working hard during my workouts of if I'm just slacking, I find the other tools very useful. At the moment I am calorie counting to ensure I am on track and find that knowing how many calories I've burnt in a workout is a great motivator to eat healthy for the rest of the day as I don't want to undo all the hard work I have done. The fat burning zone option is interesting however during bootcamp my heart rate is rarely in this zone as bootcamp is tough! You can very easily scroll through the different displays while working out; your heart rate, your calories burnt, how long you've been working out, whether your in the fat burning zone and the time. I normally keep mine on the heart rate display so I know when I'm warmed up, whether I am working out hard enough, and when I have cooled down.
The watch and strap are very study, I've accidentally dropped them on the floor a few times, and my watch even survived the wettest bootcamp session I've ever been too! I'm talking ten minutes in the rain and I am soaked to my bone! So it's doing very well.
I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for their first heart rate monitor and take their training seriously. It doesn't have millions of fancy options like GPS like some tracker do, but for a beginners watch it is perfect. I love mine, use it everyday and don't think I need anything more fancy. I couldn't actually imaging working out without it now, as I feel it really motivates me and is a great way to keep my on track and monitor my progress.
Do you use a Heart rate Monitor when training? Do you use a Polar watch? Do you love it as much as I love mine?

Le Mans: Audi most efficient in the field - facts on the twelfth victory at Le Mans
- Twelfth Le Mans victory for Audi and fourth victory of the season for the R18
- 245,000 spectators attended the event
- Tom Kristensen extends his record with ninth victory
Faster and more efficient: The victorious Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Loïc Duval/Tom Kristensen/Allan McNish (F/DK/GB) designated as car number ‘2’ made 34 pit stops at Le Mans and required 47 minutes and 14.799 seconds for them. A permitted fuel tank capacity of 58 liters theoretically made a maximum of 1,972 liters of diesel fuel available at the stops. The number ‘8’ Toyota in second place of the race required 43 minutes and 20.111 seconds for 30 stops but, due to a fuel tank capacity of 76 liters, was able to refuel up to 2,280 liters of gasoline. Audi was not only faster but the entire race car including its TDI powertrain was more efficient as well.
Best efficiency: Audi not only decided the race classification in its favor at Le Mans but theefficiency index as well. Marc Gené/Lucas di Grassi/Oliver Jarvis (E/BR/GB) in car number ‘3’ won the Michelin Green X Challenge ahead of Duval/Kristensen/McNish and the number ‘7’ Toyota.
Concentrated strength: No other brand had ever before been as successful as Audi in such a short period of time. To date, the brand has won twelve of its 15 runs. This corresponds to a win rate of 80 percent. Audi’s sister brand Porsche has a tally of 16 overall victories. These wins are spread over a period of 28 years between 1970 and 1998. In absolute numbers, Porsche has clinched 16 overall victories at 63 starts.
Powerful performance: Audi engine technology even boasts a win rate of 86.7 percent at Le Mans because a V8 biturbo engine developed by Audi Sport powered the winning race car of Audi’s sister brand Bentley in 2003.
Advantage extended: In 2005, Tom Kristensen, on clinching his seventh victory, overtook the six-time winner Jacky Ickx from Belgium on the all-time winners’ list. Now, the Dane has achieved his ninth success. From the circle of the Le Mans drivers who are still active it’s his team-mate Allan McNish that trails him in this classification with a tally of three victories. Statistically, Kristensen’s record can thus be beaten in 2020 at the earliest – but for this to happen, McNish would have to remain active until his 50th year of age, win in all the years between now and then, and no longer run with Tom Kristensen ...
13 trophies: With a track record of 9 victories in 17 runs Tom Kristensen’s success rate at Le Mans amounts to 53 percent. In total, the Dane has been on the podium 13 times to date. At four starts, his car did not finish. Thus, ‘Mister Le Mans’ never finished a race in less than third place.
Large crowd: The 90th anniversary of the Le Mans 24 Hours was watched by 245,000 spectators on location – 5,000 more than the year before.
Four times 30: For the 30th time a German manufacturer has won the endurance race at La Sarthe. Loïc Duval is the 30th Frenchman who has decided his home race in his favor. Race cars with a closed cockpit and turbocharged engines recorded their 30th victory as well.
29 trophies: Since 1999, Audi has clinched twelve first, six second and eleven third places – equating to 29 podium positions.
Premiere: Loïc Duval made his debut in the podium ranks. The Frenchman was on the Le Mans grid for the fifth time but, until 2013, had never finished in the top three. On achieving his first podium he immediately took victory.
2 turns into 1: Car number ‘2’ won the Le Mans 24 Hours this year. The competition’s history had previously seen a subsequent winner in car number ‘2’ six times, among them an Audi in 2008 and 2011.
Second victory: The Audi R18 e-tron quattro with chassis number ‘302’ previously decided the Silverstone 6 Hours in its favor and has now won the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Third victory: Audi has remained unbeaten in the first three WEC races of the 2013 season at Silverstone, Spa and Le Mans.
Eighth victory: For the eighth time since 2006 a race car with diesel power has won the Le Mans 24 Hours. Audi recorded seven of these wins (R10 TDI: 3; R15 TDI: 1; R18 TDI: 1; R18 e-tron quattro: 2).
22nd victory: Michelin, Audi’s tire partner, has achieved the 22nd success on home ground.
64 tires: The victorious number 2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro covered the distance on 16 sets of tires. Individual sets of tires were used for up to four stints.
Clear dominance: Whereas there were 19 race leaders last year, there were only six this year. On344 laps of the 348 ones completed, Audi was running in front. From 21:47 – in other words just before the beginning of the eighth hour of the race – number ‘2’ with Loïc Duval/Tom Kristensen/Allan McNish defended its position at the front of the field.
Another ‘grand slam’ of motorsport: As in 2011 and 2012, Audi recorded the best time in qualifying, the fastest race lap plus overall victory at Le Mans.
New technologies: The digital inside mirror with an AMOLED display and the LED headlights with matrix-beam technology and integrated cornering light are two forward-thinking technologies in the Audi R18 e-tron quattro with the potential of future use in production automobiles.
Long neutralizations: Twelve times the safety car took command of the track. This amounted to a total race interruption of five hours and 27 minutes. The year before, the race had only been interrupted for 2:22 hours.
Short distance: These interruptions, combined with the unsteady weather, were the decisive reasons why the winners only covered 348 laps this year. They equate to a distance of4,742.892 kilometers and an average speed of 197.446 km/h. Ever since Audi has been competing at Le Mans, these numbers were lower only once. Due to heavy rain the race distance in 2001 was only 4,367.2 kilometers for the winners Frank Biela/Tom Kristensen/Emanuele Pirro in the Audi R8.
Eight times on pole: Audi started from the top spot on the grid at Le Mans for the eighth time. Loïc Duval achieved the best time. In the race, André Lotterer drove the fastest lap.
High arrival rate: 42 of the 56 participants that had started the race at Le Mans saw the finish line – in other words exactly three quarters of the field. Last year, the retirement rate of 41 percent was higher by 16 percentage points. At Audi, the retirement rate was 0 percent, the same as last year. All three hybrid sports cars saw the finish.
The right choice: The most hopeful French talents are rewarded with the Prix Jean Rondeau at Le Mans. In 2002, the award went to Benoît Tréluyer and in 2008 to Loïc Duval. Both subsequently became overall winners at Le Mans with Audi.
