Rolex Series: Sixth in qualifying for Fall-Line Motorsports Audi R8 at Laguna Seca
By Tarek Ramchani
The Grand-American Rolex Sports Car Series is at Laguna Seca this weekend, the penultimate round of the season. A single Audi R8 GRAND-AM is taking part in the event from Fall-Line Motorsports.
The Audi Sport customer racing team, who joined the GT ranks of the Rolex Series in the second half of the season, is performing well so far at the Californian track. The #46 Audi R8 GRAND-AM, shared by Brayn Sellers and Al Carter, finished tenth in the first practice session, fourth in the second session and fifth in the third session.
In qualifying Fall-Line Motorsports showed strong pace. Brayn Sellers and Al Carter took a satisfying sixth place after a very fraught session. This is their best result so far in the demanding Rolex Series GT field with the Audi R8 GRAND-AM. Bryan Sellers, who joined the Rolex Series GT team (he races with Fall-Line in the Continental Tire Challenge), has really boosted the R8 GRAND-AM effort. Bryan Sellers is one of the fastest GT drivers in North America.
It is interesting to note that Grand-Am has recently allowed Audi to use the original 2013 specification rear diffuser of the Audi R8 LMS ultra on the Audi R8 GRAND-AM. No doubts this helped Fall-Line Motorsports to improve with the car, however the team is really working hard and really improving with a car that won Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier this year.
Up ahead pole position in the GT class went to the #57 Chevrolet Camaro GT.R from Stevenson Motorsports. Second was the #31 Chevrolet Corvette from Marsh Racing and third the #63 Ferrari 458 from Scuderia Corsa. The qualifying session results can be seen here.

There's more to this than meets the eye.
Thought for the Moment
Krista, on the other hand, has never been bashful about shoving her neotenic face directly into the world's face, and she has gathered over 11,000 YouTube followers. So I could almost say to the Radical Hub grrrlz, "hey, come on out, the water's fine!"
On my own YouTube channel, at last count, I had 1,101 subscribers - and you all know what I preach. Do I preach anti-female genocide, or hatred of women, in any form at all? You know perfectly well that I don't. So do you reckon I could get 11,000 subscribers if I commenced to preaching anti-female genocide and mandatory cliterodectomy? Maybe I should give that stuff a whirl - ya think?
Seriously now, you and I know damn straight that any male equivalent of Krista Millburn who dared stick his head up on the popular radar screen would get frog-marched unceremoniously over the nearest cliff. But wait, it gets better. Just try postering the slogan that "men's rights are human rights", or suggesting that violence against men should be stopped (as I recently did!) and watch the fun! Not only is it forbidden to preach violence against women, it is strongly discouraged to preach NON-violence against men!!
And when a man gets his penis sliced off and tossed into the in-sink-erator, people laugh outrageously on prime time television and get away with it. Note that I said "people" - that is a diplomatic choice of words, n'est-ce pas?
All right. Can anybody say societal hypocrisy that stinks to the high heavens?
Oh, and some people still have the colossal fucking gall to tell us that MISANDRY DOESN'T EXIST!
GT Tour: Sensational victory for Team Speed Car Audi at Magny-Cours race 1
By Tarek Ramchani
Audi had a great first race at Magny-Cours in the French FFSA GT Tour series today. A sensational race win for Team Speed Car and their #36 Audi R8 LMS ultra.
The Audi squad performed very well earlier today in the two qualifying sessions, with a fine pole position for Sainteloc Racing. In the race the Audis were strong again. The #36 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Team Speed Car crossed the finish line victorious. A great race from their drivers Dino Lunardi and Vincent Abril. They started from position nine on the grid and had impressive pace in the 1-hour sprint race. Dino Lunardi and Vincent Abril took their second victory of the season, after their race win at Spa-Francorchamps a few weeks ago.
The #83 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Sainteloc Racing did really well during race one. The car finished in a very strong fifth, having started way back from sixteenth on the grid.
The pole-sitting #42 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Sainteloc Racing faced bad luck. The car driven by David Hallyday and Gregory Guilvert finished in seventh place, after a very eventful race.
Race 2 is set for tomorrow with live stream coverage available at www.gt-tour.fr.

British GT: Top 10 results for Audi teams in Zandvoort race 1
By Tarek Ramchani
The first of two British GT Championship races in Holland was held today. The two Audi R8 LMS ultra cars were within the top 10.
Earlier today both United Autosports and W Racing Team (WRT) performed well in the two qualifying sessions. In Race 1 the two teams managed to finish within the top 10, in a very demanding field. The best Audi finisher was the #25 R8 LMS ultra, driven by Matt Bell and Mark Patterson, in seventh place. They recovered very well as they started from position sixteenth of the grid. Matt Bell had very strong pace after taking over the car from Mark Patterson in the second part of the race.
The other Audi entry, the #5 R8 LMS ultra managed by the Belgians from WRT, finished ninth. The car driven by Warren Hughes and Rembert Berg had an early problem on lap 4 of the 1-hour race. The car was forced to head to pitlane, losing time and ground to the leaders. The WRT Audi charged back and gained a lot of positions in the field. They finished ninth in the end, a good performance after the bad luck at the beginning of the race.
Race victory went to the pole-sitting #1 Porsche 997 GT3 R from Motorbase. Second was the #888 BMW Z4 GT3 from 888 Optimum Racing and third the #18 Ferrari 458 GT3 from FF Corse.

Ebrahim Motors has had a very consistent season so far and it has been no different this weekend. The #20 Ebrahim Motors Audi R8 LMS ultra is driven by Wagner Ebrahim and Fábio Ebrahim.
They have traded times with the #16 Lamborghini all weekend long, with the Ebrahim brothers taking second place in free practice one and topping the time sheets in session two. Qualifying yielded a similar result. The #16 Lamborghini of Allam Khodair and Marcelo Hahn claimed pole for race one, followed by Wagner Ebrahim taking position two on the grid. The rivals again swapped places during the second qualifying session, as Fábio Ebrahim took pole position ahead of the #16 Lamborghini. The qualifying results can be seen HERE.

DTM: Audi ready for final sprint in DTM title fight
- Mike Rockenfeller travels to Oschersleben as leader of the standings
- Timo Scheider has won at venue near Magdeburg twice before
- Head of DTM Dieter Gass: “Aiming for a solid team performance”
Mike Rockenfeller and his brand colleagues have fondest memories of the 3.696-kilometer track near Magdeburg – first and foremost, Timo Scheider. He has contested a total of 13 races at Oschersleben before and thus holds the top mark in the current driver field. Scheider won the race at Oschersleben in his two championship-winning years of 2008 and 2009. Mattias Ekström entered his name on the winners’ list in 2011 and Mike Rockenfeller, in his second race, celebrated his first-ever DTM podium position there in May 2007.
Now the 29-year-old German is traveling to Oschersleben as the leader of the standings. The parameters before the race are positive: Rockenfeller has a 35-point advantage over his closest rival Christian Vietoris and 75 points are yet to be awarded. If Rockenfeller consecutively scores again in the eighth race he will be able to create an optimum starting base for the remaining two races at Zandvoort and Hockenheim.
Since the DTM’s comeback in 2000 the circuit at Oschersleben has been a venue on the series’ calendar of events and has made for thrilling races on numerous occasions. A notorious track section is the narrow left-right combination at the end of the start-finish straight, which is conducive to extremely close maneuvers. Aside from the finish straight, the back-straight offers a good opportunity for using the Drag Reduction System (DRS) that flattens the rear wing flap angle when the driver pushes a button on the steering wheel. Ideal for the fans is the total view of the infield from several grandstands, which assures that they will not miss any of the actions by the DTM race drivers.
Tickets for all DTM races of the 2013 season are available at www.audi-motorsport.com/dtm. In many countries of the world fans can watch qualifying and the race live on the DTM’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/dtmint.
In Germany, ARD will broadcast live on ‘Das Erste:’ qualifying on Saturday (September 14) starting at 14:30 and the race on Sunday (September 15) starting at 13:15.
Dieter Gass (Head of DTM): “We’re looking toward Oschersleben with excitement. So far, we’ve been showing a consistently good performance this season and have always been far at the front with at least one driver. Building on this and putting as many cars as possible into the top group through a solid team performance has got to be the aim.”
Hans-Jürgen Abt (Team Director Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline): “We’re looking forward to Oschersleben. The track has suited our car well in the past and our drivers have clinched many victories there. We’d like to continue this and thus support Mike (Rockenfeller) in his battle for the DTM title as well.”
Ernst Moser (Team Director Audi Sport Team Phoenix): “Thinking of Oschersleben primarily brings back positive memories of this track. Mike (Rockenfeller) has mounted the podium there before and Miguel (Molina) has been on pole there once as well. Thus, I’m confident that we’ll be in contention in the race again.”
Arno Zensen (Team Director Audi Sport Team Rosberg): “We used the summer break to take a breather and to tackle the last three races with new momentum. My squad is looking forward to Oschersleben: New game, new luck.”
Filipe Albuquerque (28/P), Audi Financial Services RS 5 DTM #6 (Audi Sport Team Rosberg)
• At the Nürburgring, just barely missed scoring the first points this year
• Finished in the top ten at Oschersleben in 2012
“I know the track at Oschersleben well and drove there in junior categories before competing in the DTM. Our performance at the Nürburgring has encouraged us. I’m not giving up and will go all out to finally score my first points this season.”
Mattias Ekström (35/S), Red Bull Audi RS 5 DTM #11 (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline)
• Won the race at Oschersleben two years ago
• Has mounted the podium four times in ten DTM runs at Oschersleben to date
“Oschersleben has been both good and bad to me in all these years. With only three more races to go you can tell how the level of suspense is rising a bit with everybody – that’s good I think. I’m still lacking a real victory this year and I’m going to continue to battle for this.”
Jamie Green (31/GB), Red Bull Audi RS 5 DTM #12 (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline)
• Most recently finished in the points twice in succession
• Has been on podium at Oschersleben three times before
“Predictions are extremely difficult this season. I’d like to work with concentration, continue to improve and be back on podium as soon as possible.”
Miguel Molina (24/E), Audi RS 5 DTM #20 (Audi Sport Team Phoenix)
• Started from the pole position at Oschersleben in 2011
• Scored his first points in the 2013 season at the Nürburgring
“Following the upward trend at the Nürburgring, I’m now all the more excited about Oschersleben. This track has a special meaning for me because this is where I clinched my first pole position two years ago.”
Edoardo Mortara (26/F/I), Playboy Audi RS 5 DTM #5 (Audi Sport Team Rosberg)
• Was on podium at Oschersleben in his debut year of 2011
• Started the race at the Nürburgring from the second row
“Even though Oschersleben isn’t exactly my favorite track I believe that we’ll be competitive. I’m wishing for a better weekend than the first seven this year. The summer break has been good for taking a breather again.”
Mike Rockenfeller (29/D), Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM #19 (Audi Sport Team Phoenix)
• Claimed the first podium position in his DTM career at Oschersleben
• Has been one of the two drivers to score points in all races of the season to date
“Oschersleben is very challenging in terms of driving skills and very rough on the car as well. I’ve always enjoyed the track. We’re working on being well sorted again and starting the weekend with a good basic set-up. I’m looking forward to Oschersleben and am eager to see how the relative strengths will pan out.”
• Scored his first-ever DTM race win at Oschersleben in 2008
• Has 13 starts at Oschersleben under his belt – more than any other driver in the field
“Of course Oschersleben immediately makes me think of my first DTM victory, which I clinched in 2008 and that was a big step toward the subsequent title win. I used the summer break to clear my mind again after all the previous misfortune. That has worked well, so I’m traveling to Oschersleben with the resulting motivation.”
Adrien Tambay (22/F), Audi ultra RS 5 DTM #24 (Audi Sport Team Abt)
• At the Nürburgring, finished in the points for the second time in 2013
• Is the third-best Audi driver in the standings three races before the end of the season
“Oschersleben is a nice race track. Last year, I was a bit unfortunate in the race. Hopefully, that’ll be different this time. My aim, again, is a good result in the points.”

2012 flashback: Audi without racing luck
Following the commanding one-two-three victory in the previous round at Zandvoort, Audi occupied positions six, eight, nine and ten after having suffered a lot of misfortune on the starting lap. In front of 71,000 spectators, Mike Rockenfeller, in sixth place, was the best-placed Audi driver. Mattias Ekström stopped at the start and dropped from fifth to 19th place. Afterward, he was the fastest driver in the field some of the time, recovered one position after another and advanced into the points again. In the end, Ekström took eighth place. Filipe Albuquerque, in ninth place, scored two points. One point, for tenth place, remained for Timo Scheider.

Timo Scheider about Oschersleben: “There’s hardly any other track in my book that combines so many different characters of turns. With the artificial braking chicane in turn 1 an additional opportunity for overtaking has been created. The ultra-fast right-left-right chicane on the other side of the track eats a lot of material but also requires great sensitivity. If you run the curbs a bit too hard you might damage the car or careen off the track. There’s a slow hairpin, an ultra-long 180-degree turn, a fast and a slow chicane and in the infield there’s even a banked corner. I’ll never forget the day of my first DTM victory at Oschersleben in 2008 – that’s when a big load came off my chest after all those years. All this combined makes Oschersleben so special for me.”

VLN: LMS Engineering Audi TT RS progressing well
The #1 LMS Engineering Audi TT RS was presented earlier this year, but supply problems regarding critical drive train components resulted in the team unfortunately withdrawing their initial VLN entry. Since then the team has been working very hard and they have also acquired the required parts. In recent weeks they have revealed photos and videos of their new engine. The car and engine were tested together for the first time this week, with successful dyno runs. The team is now ready to begin further testing and their first rollout with the Audi.
It is very exciting to hear that LMS Engineering are progressing well with their TT RS, especially after their setbacks earlier this year. Hopefully the beautiful #1 TT RS will be seen on track very soon.

Fitness Friday| Maxinutrition Protein Milk Review
You may or may not know I am a massive fan of protein. No I am not a body builder, nor am I looking to bulk up… in fact I am after the opposite… I want to lose weight and gain toned muscles. However I know that protein is perfect for those wanting to do this also, it’s not just for body builders…. protein is important for not only muscles but your bones, skin and hair! Protein should be one of the most important food groups in your diet, like carbs they are great for filling you up, however they don’t have the negatives, it has less sugar and doesn’t make you bloat like carbs do for some people like me.
I try to get protein in every single meal of mine, I don’t over do it, as there is no benefit in over eating protein, but I find that little and often is best for me. On a typical day I will have spinach in my breakfast smoothie, nuts for snacks, eggs in my salad, peanut butter on everything and anything and I eat chicken pretty much every day.
The biggest issue of mine was my desire to find a suitable protein drink or shake. I had previously tried the Maxitone Sculptress Powder but wasn’t happy with the huge list of ingredients in it as I like to eat as clean as possible, so when Maxinutrition got in contact and ask if I would like to try their Maxinutrition Protein Milk* I jumped at the chance. This pre-packed, premade protein drink was exactly what I was after; something I can grab on the go, have as a snack and use to refuel after my evening workouts.
Maxinutrition says that “Protein Milk is packed full of protein to keep your muscles in tip top shape. It contains a blend of skimmed milk proteins and is virtually fat free with no added sugar. It’s a great option for an on the go refreshing drink. Perfect for anyone looking to meet their general protein needs.”
I absolutely love Maxinutrition’s Protein Milk! I have been having it at different times during the day as it really is a great go to snack. I have one in my bag at all times and a couple in my desk drawer. As you don’t need to refrigerate them they really are very versatile and the perfect go to drink. I usually have mine after my workout to repair my muscles and with only 135 calories per drink it is completely guilt free! However they are ideally suited for a quick breakfast paired with a banana or a snack during the day. I could not recommend these enough!
