“This may be my best chance yet to make the AGT podium,” Melbourne Performance Centre/Skwirk.com.au Audi R8 LMS GT3 ultra pilot Rod Salmon admitted ahead of his ‘home’ race in the Australian GT Championship presented by Pirelli at Sydney Motorsport Park [SMP] this weekend.

“I know the track, and I love racing at home, it always seems to give me that little bit of extra momentum, and after dominating the most recent State Series round there in the Skwirk.com.au Audi a few weeks ago, I think we’re in a pretty good position.
“Then there’s my secret weapon..!”

After contesting the Phillip Island round of the championship with multiple Australian Formula 3 Champion James Winslow sharing the driving duties, Rod felt that adding the popular Englishman to the team at Sydney may not play out as well in his favour.

“I like James, and am happy to help support his career where I can, and I didn’t enjoy telling him he had the weekend off, but the penalty he brings with him as a ‘Pro’ driver adds a huge time penalty to our compulsory pit stop [CPS], so I needed to find someone with great pace, but no penalty, and I think we have just the solution..”

That solution comes in the form of Nathan Antunes, a professional driver trainer at SMP and a regular with the Sydney-based Radical outfit, but unknown to some, Antunes has international open-wheel experience (including being a part of the Red Bull Junior Team in Formula Renault Eurocup at the same time as Sebastien Vettel), and was a top karter during his formative years in Australia.

“It’s been a few years since I competed actively,” Antunes explained, “but it’s in my blood, so I have rarely been far from the action, and to keep my foot in the door. Recently I’ve turned the experience I had overseas into a role as a driver trainer, which is what I’ve been doing over the last couple of years at Eastern Creek.

“I’ve tested some Ferrari GT3 cars in the past, and came close to securing a drive, but up until I met Rod at a Radical drive day, I hadn’t had the opportunity to compete in a current-spec GT car, but I’m really looking forward to it.”

“Because he hasn’t competed at the top level for a number of years, he doesn’t attract a penalty as a ‘seeded’ driver,” Salmon confirmed, “but he almost lives at Eastern Creek and walks the track at least twice a week in his role as an instructor, so there’s not too many people that know the venue better.”
“At the end of the day my role is to bring the car home as best I can in a position that will aid Rod’s championship,” Nathan acknowledged. “This may just be a one-off for me, and I feel honoured to have had the opportunity, especially in such a competitive team.

“Having worked with Rod during the state series round, I think we’re good enough for a podium, but my top priority is to bring the car back the way I’m handed it, so we’ll see how the weekend plays out.”

Opening practice begins on Friday, July 12 at 10:25am followed by a second session at 1:40pm and a third at 2:55pm. Qualifying kicks off at 11:25am on Saturday (July 13), with the opening one-hour race scheduled for 1:55pm. Sunday’s second one-hour race will begin at 12:15pm.

Australian GT: Equity-One prepare to regain ground in Sydney‏

Melbourne Performance Centre Press Release

Equity-One prepare to regain ground in Sydney
Equity-One Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3

Phillip Island, Victoria (24-26 May)

Equity-One Motorsport’s Dean Koutsoumidis and Andrew McInnes continue to maintain a position just shy of the top five in the Australian GT series despite campaigning one of the oldest Championship cars in the field, and they continue to punch above their weight at almost every outing. For the fourth round of the 2013 Australian GT Championship presented by Pirelli, they come into Sydney Motorsport Park perhaps better prepared than in any previous round having competed recently in a State Series round at the venue, claiming a podium finish for their efforts. Or rather.. “For HIS efforts..” a frustrated Andrew McInnes added.

“I’m riding to Sydney in the car inside the transporter, that way I get the first practice session,” he laughed with a trace of truth to his jibe at team-mate Koutsoumidis who competed at SMP alone in the short heat races.

“There’s no way I’m buying dinner on Saturday night!” he explained in reference to the penalty that the slowest of the two drivers receives post-qualifying. “I’m over it..!”

During a recent round of the NSW State Series, Koutsoumidis joined fellow Audi pilot Rod Salmon at SMP for some valuable miles ahead of the fourth round of the national championship, running a close second overall to the former owner of the #71 Audi R8 LMS, and beating him in one race in the wet conditions.

“Unfortunately it was wet for the bulk of the weekend, so if it rains, we’re a shoe-in,” Koutsoumidis laughed. “Honestly any miles are valuable, and given that we hadn’t raced at Eastern Creek in the Audi, it was valuable extra miles for me, and to come away with second overall behind Rod was fantastic.”

The weekend also gave the Equity-One crew the first chance to work closely with the Melbourne Performance Centre team who from Eastern Creek forwards will run the team’s Audi R8 in the remainder of the Australian Championship.

“We’ve had a fantastic run with Minda Motorsport over the last few seasons,” Dean Koutsoumidis explained, “and I will be continuing to run with them in various Formula Ford events to keep sharp, but in the end, logistically it was better for all of us to join the MPC team and take advantage of the fact that they’re only running one Audi this season.

“As the Audi Customer Racing representatives in Australia, all our spares and technical support come through them anyway, and with Minda’s burgeoning Formula Ford and V8 Supercar Development Series commitments, it worked for everyone.

“For me I wouldn’t have been competing in GT like this if it wasn’t for all the support that Bruin [Beasley] and the Minda team gave me, so I can’t thank them enough.

“For now though it’s back to Sydney, and I have to say I’m excited. Andrew and I have had some pretty consistent runs this years as other drivers have fallen off around us. With the extra miles I had last month I’d expect to be quicker more consistently, and with no driver seeding penalties for either of us, we might just surprise a few people this weekend..

“That win I had over Rod in the rain too has made me hungry.. I quite liked the taste of victory. Roll on Friday!”

My View of Lesbians, Mrs Hassleback..........

On the "View" Elizabeth Hassleback,
(gone in three years)
Who's claim to fame,
is that she was a finalist on the reality show,
"Survivor" some years ago.
Stated the the reason she believes,
that there are so many late in life Lesbians.
Is that as they are old, so they can't get a man.
You just can't make this stuff up.
I do understand that the two brain cells that she has.
Are rattling around in all that space she has in her head.
But, really Elizabeth,
you can't be so dumb as to believe what you said?
You should rent out all that space in your head to Donald Trump.
He could house the whole of Manhattan in there and make you some money.
You are going to need it, when ABC don't renew your contract.
Didn't you know that you are surrounded by Lesbians at ABC, duh.........

Divorce Feminist Style

Here we see a woman hiring a hitman to kill her husband, whom she was in the process of divorcing. Listen to her -- she sounds like she's just hiring some guy to clean the gutters or do some landscaping. Anyhow, she figured this was the easiest, least complicated way to take care of business. Little did she know that the "hitman" was an undercover Michigan State Police detective.

She comes across wholesome, innocent and ordinary . . . doesn't she?  Just like people we've all known, eh? You never can tell about humans, can you?

But you know, she DOES mention that it is going to "break her heart", and I'm sure that a man would never have said that. After all, women do have that special capacity for deeper feeling which men haven't got because they are simply not capable of it.  Right?

Oh, one more thing. Never forget that Not All Women Are Like This!

News From Around the World

Similar aggressions against men and boys are happening all over planet Earth, because feminism is a global cancer. However, everywhere on planet Earth, non-feminist men and women are fighting back against this primary aggressor. They are doing it so that the human race will have a viable future.

The following newspaper page, from India, will bear witness to the global counter-attack against feminist aggression:
