Dr. Miles Groth to be Speaker at U-Toronto in September

This signal just in from Jack Day:
"Dr. Miles Groth, Ph,D will be speaking at the University of Toronto on September 27, 2013!

"Caring About University Men / Why We Need Campus Men's Centres in a Time of Crisis
"This year only 35% of university students will be male. If the statistically projected steep rate of decline continues, the last bachelor's degree earned by a male will be awarded around 2025. Although that is not likely to happen, the situation for males on campuses everywhere is precarious, yet only a few faculty and administrators are responding to the reality. What is that reality? What is it like to be a young man 18-21 living and studying at university? How did matters come to be as they are? What is being done to care for young men in the current situation? Dr. Miles Groth, editor of New Male Studies: An International Journal and founder of College and University Centers for Men will discuss why attention is being turned to young men at university and why they need our concern and care. Dr. Groth, an adviser for CAFE, is the author of Engaging College Men: Discovering What Works and Why (2010) and numerous articles on the well-being of boys and men. He has addressed this topic in Australia, Canada and the States."
So, when the good Dr. Groth arrives in Toronto, I shall expect the usual baboons to turn out as a welcoming committee, screaming and pounding sticks and doing everything to make this pro-male event impossible. Maybe they'll even try that stunt with the fire alarm again. You never know, but I am depending on them to put on a good show, and I am depending on our people to document every bit of it.

Dr. Miles Groth, in case you don't know, is one of the leaders of the Male Studies initiative, basically a movement to establish a non-feminist academic discipline to study the male "lived experience" in an objective, unbiased and non-ideological way. This movement, in my opinion, is a vital part of the game plan. We need to establish a presence in academia if we aim to topple the establishment, and Male Studies would establish a pro-male presence in the heart of enemy territory and give instant cachet to non-feminist "riffraff" like us, chums!

So I expect that the anti-male elements at the University of Toronto will be out in full force, and some of them might even snap and do something stupid that all shall regret. Nothing would surprise me.

Remember that Male Studies is not to be confused with Men's Studies, which is an established, feminist-controlled academic field. "Men's Studies" is the enemy that we aim to put out of business.
